Lately, I’ve been obsessing over the perfect shade of blue-gray-green for the new knitting room and dining room. Farrow & Ball has some of the prettiest shades, so I ordered four sample pots. Above is the Light Blue, which looks a little green on the chip, but in the room appears a soft, springy blue.
Skylight reads more blue-gray than green, but the color reminds me of the sky on an overcast day – this is definitely a cozy color.
The Blue Gray reads neither blue nor gray to me – more like a rustic sage. The website says this color will appear bluer in well-lit rooms. I was a bit intrigued, which is why I ordered this pot.
Finally, the Green Blue – this is the most saturated of the four colorsĀ – and while I think it may be too strong for the walls, it may be a good color for an old wooden coffee table that needs a little refreshing.

This is a difficult one Jenny! All look gorgeous to me! If I had to choose, I’d say Light Blue or Blue Gray. Oh and I love what you did with that Green Blue! When are you moving?
they are all the most gorgeous colors! You should try them in all sorts of daylight as well as night time. they change so much. I have very similar colors in my house and they are both easy to work with and get different looks.
I’ve just painted the inside of the glass dining room cabinets in a paler version of lulworth blue…..The room is a pale vanilla and the cabinets are soft mouse….I picked the Lulworth mostly for the name and then re-mixed until I liked it just…..so.
What I really want to do when I grow up is be the person who names the colours.
Happy painting
Deb
Lulworth is such a pretty name for a blue! Yes, you are right – how fun it would be to sit in a room with paint colors and dream up names…I would love to see a picture of your dining room.
